Ministry

Academic - Each resident attends the in-house school, Hope Academy. The Academy offers an accelerated Christian education program which enables residents to fill educational gaps that result from truancy and lack of motivation. Hope Academy offers a high school diploma as well as junior college level courses in an independent environment. Diagnostic testing places the teens at their respective grade level so they can successfully progress at their own pace.

Therapeutic - Residents receive professional counseling to aid them in dealing with past hurts such as drug, physical and/or sexual abuse. They also attend christian counseling sessions. Residents and their families are provided opportunities to attend group therapy sessions.

Physical - House of Hope residents participate in healthy physical activities working out frustration, anger, and stress in a healthy acceptable manner.

Spiritual - Teens yearn for love and a sense of being wanted. Institutions do not tuck teens in at night or pray with them through their times of frustration, but House of Hope does. Hurting teens and their families receive spiritual support from christian counseling and loving staff care.

Emotional - Troubled, hurting teens have difficulty dealing with authority and relating constructively to parents and  peers. House of Hope provides a loving environment in which teens learn to accept responsibility, and to relate well to parents and peers through counseling and staff activities.

Financial - House of Hope is a faith based ministry. House of Hope relies on the support of generous individuals and organizations with a passion for hurting teens. House of Hope provides, as needed, a sliding financial scale that is based on the familys' income. No one is ever turned away do to insufficient funds.
